D.H. Lawrence, Mare e Sardegna.
“In the end the strange, sinister spirit of the place, so diverse and adverse in different places, will smash your mechanical oneness into smithereens, and all that we think the real thing will go off with a pop, and we shall be left staring.”
D.H. Lawrence, Sea and Sardinia.

Sergio Atzeni
"I can not define the word happiness. I do not know what happiness is. I think I have experienced moments of intense joy, to beat my fists on my chest, under the sun, under the rain or under cover, screaming (sometimes I want to do so but I can't, it would be considered a sign of mental disorder) or to believe walking on clouds or feel the soul be light and fly high up to God (it happens rarely). Is this happiness? So short? So little? "
Sergio Atzeni
Sardinia has her own desert located in the wild and isolated zone of Piscinas (South-west of Sardinia). It is a natural area composed of high yellow ocher dunes among the highest in Europe. Some bushes and shrubs (junipers, sea lilies, olive trees) sprout here and there sporadically or in small groves. The dunes rolling by the wind beating on the island are continuously modeled making new forms. This area is also famous for its old mining sites Ingurtosu and Montevecchio and the constantly rough sea and therefore ideal for surfing.
