Lampedusa, un tramonto sul mare ✿ Lampedusa, a sunset over the sea

"Dopo aver bevuto i mari ci stupisce

"After drinking the seas we are amazed
that our lips are dry as the beaches,
and again we seek the sea to bathe, without seeing
that our lips are the beaches and we are the sea."

Lampedusa is an island quiet smelling of fresh breezes and sultry heat from Africa.

She stays there surrounded by the blue sea awaiting her fate as a boat by anchor swaying ceaselessly at the mercy of the waves and the winds. Lampedusa is a small strip of Sicily located at distance almost not to be violated and she resists relentess to the unperturbed action of the time that wears out the earth and makes each day older. Because of her solitary location Lampedusa keeps her traditions alive, preserving her pristine nature and the many shades of her sea. I admired a beautiful sunset with her warm tones which illuminated the landscape of red and dying in the distance dipping into the horizon. Few places are able to convey the excitement of a day that comes to an end, as the islands. Lampedusa is one of these places. I was near Cala Croce, wonderful location on the sea, which allows you to enjoy a golden and salty landscape, made lively by the powerful wind that blows through the trees, making them alive. Lampedusa is the ideal place for those who do not want to miss the smell of the sea even for a moment. I recommend you to rent a bike to explore the quiet streets which run along the coast and to enjoy the Sicilian nature which is bitter and sweet at once. A land burned by the heat and at the same time, sun-kissed by a flash of fiery colors. Lampedusa, together with the island of Linosa and Lampione, is part of the Pelagie archipelago. A borderland between Europe and Africa, almost equidistant from the two continents, and for this reason she has a mysterious charm like any frontier territory.

Lampedusa can be reached by boat from boating enthusiasts thanks to several ferries to Sicily. Take a look at marine routes that you can take to reach this wonderful corner of Sicily.
