"Finally, we descend towards the sea.
In Sardinia, you always perceive it, from one hundred and one hundred kilometers from the coast, shining in the air on each side. It is a true island, Sardinia, in its glory and its storms. The land is plundered by the mistral. That is not blowing, meanwhile. Long dark lands appear suspended in the air, where the plain asunder. There is the sea, that air. Uninhabited as the light of the First Day. But the trees are bent by the mistral and have thrown back the foliage, like hair to comb. Even the bushes. Thrown back across the plain. It seems that the wind has suddenly stopped right now. And the houses of Castelsardo, chicken coop on the rock, in the sun, are also squatting to the fury spent. "
